Actor Charlie Ruedpokanon

Bangkok is bringing some great opportunity to meet and collaborate on some exciting projects with some incredible actors and stunts guys.

This week I got to shoot with Charlie Ruedpokanon, best known for his recent work on "Ninja: Shadow of a Tear" and a role in "Only God Forgives" starring alongside Ryan Gosling.

From an early age Charlie went to study at a martial-arts school where he learned Kung-Fu from Shaolin masters. Then after graduation he went to Beijing to study Chinese and to hopefully get to train with Jackie Chan’s action team.

While he was there, "Ong Bak" came out in 2003, and Tony Jaa was the new action star.

Returning to Thailand he got in touch with stunt people including Tony himself.

There he landed his first job, an M150 commercial, then some lakorn and went on to land roles in movies both in Thailand and abroad. Not only that he then went on to become an assistant in the Jaika Stunt Team. These days he branched out and started his own Stunts Team "TAG".

Easy to work with, humble, down to earth and very commited to delivering what you ask of him in a shoot.

Starting the shoot was fun, I got Charlie to give show me several comedic sides to him in multiple frames to relax into the shoot. We got some hysterical shots!

Moving through the shoot, we worked on several stills of Charlie in action doing several stunts and some matial-arts.

We got some amazing footage from the shoot and like I always say it is truly always great getting to work with someone who is so dedicated and passionate about their craft like Charlie!
